Ironman Arizona Top Amateur Female Performances (2005-2012)

With our local favorite, Michelle LeBlanc, 38, of The Woodlands, looking for a return trip to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii for the Ironman World Championship next October, we thought we'd see what some of the top female amateur times were from all of the previous Ironman Arizona competitions.

In her eighth best female overall performance (including professionals) at the 2012 Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas, LeBlanc swam the 2.4 miles in 1:03:44, rode the 112-mile bike course in 5:14:32 and ran the marathon in 3:29:52 for an overall showing of 9:53:59.

She followed that up less than five months later at the World Championship with an eighth-place age group (35-39) finish of 10:19:14 that included times of 1:07:41 (swim), 5:27:25 (bike) and 3:38:58 (run) in each discipline.

Should LeBlanc be able to closely replicate either performance in Tempe on Sunday, she's likely to not only do well in her age group but also against all amateur females competing.
