Updated Ten For Texas All-Time Top 20 List (2006-2011)

The sixth annual Memorial Hermann Ten For Texas experienced yet another record turnout with 1,909 officially timed finishers, surpassing 2010's mark by just over 14 percent.

The race walloped the United Space Alliance Space City 10-Miler that was held the following day, Sunday, October 8, from the University of Houston-Clear Lake's campus.  The Space City 10-Miler had just 622 timed finishers - with Ten For Texas producing a more than 2-to-1 ratio in the number of official finishers.

It is, though, where the more quality men's field turnouts to as 15 men broke an hour as opposed to just two in The Woodlands.

Houston's Colin Wolfe, 31, won Ten For Texas for the third time while fellow Houstontian Amanda Barth, 26, made her third visit to Ten For Texas a charm with a commanding 67-second win over Houston's Jennifer Harpel.

Barth and Wolfe become the third and fourth runners to have three finishing times in the event's best 20 men's and women's times.  Wolfe is joined by Houston's Joe Flores while Barth shares the limelight with The Woodlands' Krista Blevins, who has won the masters crown now the last two years.

Last year's masters winner John Hill, 44, of Kingwood, was clipped at the line by nine seconds by The Woodlands' Guillermo Ocejo, 41, who crossed the line in 1:03:10.

Any chance we can get the two premier and maybe only 10 MIle races to happen on different weekends. I have done 10 $ Texas only once since its resurrection, when hurricane Ike moved the date. Ten 4 Texas was always one of my most favorite races, but I feel compelled to support HARRA races and can't do both. It makes no sense to split the runners.
