USA Triathlon recognized eight area triathletes - in the Spring 2011 edition of USA Triathlon magazine - with All-American or Honorable Mention status in 2010.
Finish Strong Racing founder Dana Lyons, 52, earned All-American recognition in both the duathlon and triathlon, while The Woodlands' Michael Dwyer, 62, and Team Strive creator Kimberly Hager, 39, earned All-American recognition in the triathlon.
2010 CB&I Sprint triathlon winner Grace Benes, 27, was the only other female honoree as she earned Honorable Mention recognition as Ed York, Tom Schwarzkopf and Bruce Cobb did so for the men in triathlon. James Griffis picked up Honorable Mention status in the duathlon.
Houston's Sarah Gray, who is coached by Michelle LeBlanc's OutRival Racing, was an Honorable Mention honoree in the women's 20-24 age group.
